Things to Do

Each fall, the Lafayette Art and Wine Festival brings over 300 artisan vendors, live music performances, and family-friendly activities to the East Bay. This event also features representatives from local wineries and microbreweries. Food booths and trucks boast fresh California seafood, meat, and produce at this festival in the heart of downtown Lafayette. 

The Lafayette Res Run for Education is a charity race event benefiting local schools and children’s programs. This race is open to everyone. Serious runners, strollers, and even dogs are welcome to participate in this community event. 

Summers bring the Rock the Plaza Concert Series to the vibrant downtown Lafayette Plaza Park. These outdoor concerts are family-friendly and free for the public to enjoy. 

The picturesque Lafeyette Reservior and its surrounding recreation area feature two hiking trail loops, a paved nature trail for biking, picnic grounds, and a children’s playground. The reservoir is also open for fishing and boating with the proper permits and licenses.
